That we may find our journey’s end… Sometimes I find myself thinking a lot about the end of my journey. Other times, it’s the last thing I want to think about. Perhaps that’s one of the results of living with somewhat fragile health.
The Epihpany
Creator of the heavens,
who led the Magi by a star
to worship the Christ-child:
guide and sustain us,
that we may find our journey’s end

This prayer, the Additional Collect for The Epiphany, encourages us, as Christians, not to fear the end of the journey. Let us enjoy our journey now, as we, along with the Magi, worship the Christ-child. Not fearing the end of the journey, but looking forward to it’s arrival at the right time. Knowing that it will be even more wonderful, and filled with joy, than the journey itself.
