Broke the Blog
I’ve had to restore a week old backup of the database. I’m not in the least sure what I actually did, but something broke the blog. Hopefully things are back to where they were, on the blog itself. Something is still not quite right with the backend; but I’m hopeful of being able to either fix, or work around the problems I’ve got in there.
Please accept my apologies if you’ve suddenly received some duplicate posts through your feed readers. I’ve tried to publish what I lost with a back-dated timestamp, so you may get repeats.
And, I’m afraid, any comments made on the posts I’ve had to redo are lost. Please do post your comment again.

An update: I think I’ve got most things working as they should be now. The one thing I haven’t been able to get right is a plugin I’ve been using for managing the tags. But it looks as though I was lucky it worked with the last blog upgrade anyway, and it’s no longer going to be updated or supported. So I’m going to have to get used to not having it sometime, it might as well be now.

And, thankfully, the backup was only a week old — it could’ve been much worse. I shall try to get into the habit of, at least, weekly backups from now on. Certainly better than the monthly ones I had been doing.
