This is a picture of the High Altar and Sanctuary in Godmanchester Church. As soon as you walk into the chancel, your eye is drawn to the impressive reredos of the high altar with its gilt wood carving and figures, designed in 1901 by G F Bodley. I will add a more detailed picture of the reredos as another “Friday Foto”
A little post-production work was needed on the original photograph to get it to something that could be used here. I needed to lighten things up a bit, as it was quite a gloomy picture. And I needed to straighten it up, as I’d had to tilt the camera a little. All work was done in Fireworks.
