This is Loreena McKennitt singing Dante’s Prayer, from “The Book of Secrets” Album. This is a live recording, and she introduces the song. She explains how it came from an experience of travelling across the desolate landscape of Siberia on a train, and reading Dante’s Inferno. She captures despair and desolation incredibly well.
