Friday Foto

I have been looking, rather longingly, over some of the pictures I took when I was in Walsingham last year. I must have been feeling particularly well on the day I took this one — I walked a long way around the grounds of the old Priory, albeit with lots of rests. It was, though, a glorious spring day. This photo shows two bits of the ruins that would have been a part of the same building. The stub of pillar close up, and the magnificent arch of window in the background. There is quite a distance between them; the original building must have been quite an imposing size.

My health will improve again, and I will get back to Walsingham this year (he says with more confidence than he feels just now!).
