Where I Live

This is the part of the world I live in — just on the western edge of East Anglia. I still live within three miles of my birthplace. It’s unlikely that I’ll move away now; very happy just where I am.

What’s on the map?

In the town of Huntingdon — midway between the cities of Peterborough and Cambridge. You may need to zoom in on the map to see it clearly as it hides behind the Godmanchester Church icon.

Godmanchester Church church icon
Just over the river from Huntingdon is Godmanchester; the town I grew up in, and the Church where my ministry as a Reader is now.

Ely Cathedral church icon
In the city of Ely, the cathedral at the centre of Ely Diocese. It’s a magnificent building; often called “The Ship of the Fens”. On a clear day the cathedral can be seen from many miles away.

Walsingham church icon
The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham; a favourite place of pilgrimage and retreat.

Icklesham camera icon
The village of Icklesham in East Sussex; the photograph used in the header image was taken there.
