Christian Aid Week 2010

Christian Aid is an organisation formed in the 1940s which aims to tackle the root causes of poverty and create a world where all are equal and free. It seeks to help those in need, working overseas in poverty-stricken areas with local churches and movements which share the same values. Christian Aid is committed to working with those of other faiths and takes seriously its aim of eradicating world poverty.

Christian Aid Week 2010 runs from May 9th to May 15th and is seven days of fantastic fundraising across the UK and Ireland. It is the country’s biggest house-to-house-collection and also sees many people take part in a variety of activities to raise money for those that need it.

Please consider donating something to Christian Aid this week. More information, and a page where you can see different ways of giving can be found on the Christian Aid Website.
