This is a view of Godmanchester Church which isn’t seen by many people. It’s taken from the north side of the Church. The only path on that side runs quite close to the building, but the largest part of the churchyard is on this side. To take this photograph I was just about as far away from the building as I could be, but still within the churchyard.
I really like views like this, with the Church being framed by nature. Taking photographs like this is also an opportunity to wander around the churchyard. It’s a very peaceful place, even when the children are playing in the school playground over the wall.
