Friday Foto

I haven’t got any new photographs, so was having a look through the photo archives on my computer, wondering what to use for this week’s Friday Foto, when I came across this one which I haven’t put on the blog before (I don’t think). It was taken in the old priory in Walsingham. I remember when I took it, I’d just finished reading The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett — a novel about building a Cathedral. After reading about the various methods of building vaulting, I was fascinated to see this fan-vault at relatively close quarters. But what grabbed my attention as I was looking through my archives this time, was something I hadn’t even noticed in the picture before — the modern looking broom!
