Friday Foto

We had a really good family day out at the beach in Hunstanton recently; it really was a day to treasure. I took a few photographs during the day, most of which, I’m not particularly happy with. For the majority of the day the weather was bright, but windy. But towards evening we had some showers — and we drove through some torrential rain on the way home. I took this picture just before we left, as we sat watching the storm clouds begin to gather.

  1. It was a great day :)
Is that us all on the beach?

    • It is the three of you on the beach, not as clear on this size photo, but much more obvious on the one on my desktop — Dave, just to the left of the pole on the end or the groyne; you, looking wistfully out to sea; and Sammi, skipping back towards us. The two people further out are just random people who happened to be there.

  2. That is very similar to one I took on the same day

    • A very similar shot indeed. That bright patch was just too good to ignore. Looks like you used a much wider angle — I was at 45mm, and have cropped some of the empty beach I had in the foreground — you’ve kept some great detail in that cloud.

      • Also, I’m not in my shot ;)

Did you see my other pictures from Hunstanton?

        • Just been looking through them on Flickr. You’ve got some great photos; although there does appear to be a big hairy monster in some of them. Of the ones I took, there are only a couple that I’m pleased with, quite disappointed with them really — just have to try again!
