I said a while ago that I would add a more detailed picture of the reredos behind the High Altar in Godmanchester Church. Here it is, though the picture doesn’t really do it justice — it’s an amazing structure:

The impressive reredos of the high altar with its gilt wood carving and figures, was designed in 1901 by G F Bodley. Bodley was a renowned Victorian English Architect working in the Gothic Revival style. More information about him can be found on a Wikipedia page, here.

Andrew Gosden (now 18) has been missing from his Doncaster home since 14 September 2007. The search continues.
Sorry I have not been posting here on your blog recently, a mix of work and taking some time off has been the reason. I do hope to make a trip up to you this year and it would be nice if my wife and I could join you all on a Sunday to worship together in your beautiful church. Shall keep you posted if dates work out.
I could see how busy you were in the run-up to Christmas on your blog Steve. It looked as though you had very little time to call your own throughout most of December. So the time off was well-deserved and well-earned.
It would certainly be good to see you at Godmanchester if things work out for you. I shall look forward to the possibility.
