This photograph took some patience, and gave me a crick in the neck, but it was worth it I think. I happened to glance up through this tree in our garden and saw the moon through a gap in the leaves. It was early in the evening and the sky was still quite blue. I went and got my camera to try and capture the picture, only to realize that the gap in the leaves was only a temporary and very occasional thing. There was just a little breeze blowing, which occasionally moved one of the branches enough to create the gap you see. So I had to get everything set up for focus, hold the camera above my head and look up. Then wait for just the right breeze. As you can see, the wait was fruitful — eventually.
