Here is another picture from my recent trip to Ely Cathedral, this time an interior view. This is a picture of the High Altar in the Cathedral. The picture was taken from in The Choir and shows the bottom section of the magnificent east window behind the altar.

There is a great deal to see at the Cathedral, and I could happily spend many days there, just soaking up the atmosphere. It has to be said, though, it wasn’t built with the needs of an middle-aged chap and his little digital camera in mind — I can’t think why!

Andrew Gosden (now 18) has been missing from his Doncaster home since 14 September 2007. The search continues.
Beautiful!
Thanks Ruth.
I am envious. We have nothing like this in Las Vegas.
I am really lucky with where I live. Within a thirty mile radius of home are two cathedral cities, Ely and Peterborough, and the historic city of Cambridge, with all of its colleges and chapels.
Las Vegas is somewhere I would love to visit, though will probably never be able to do so. It’s one of those places we see much of on our TV’s. But I guess we only really see the glitz and the glamour, and not always the “real” life behind it all.
