Friday Foto

I went for a little walk yesterday, it was nice to get out into the fresh air. I parked the car near Port Holme Meadow, which is the largest remaining water meadow in England. But I didn’t walk very far on there, it’s very large, and amazingly flat.

Here are a couple of pictures I took. The first shows a relatively small portion of the meadow with the spire of Godmanchester Church visible on the skyline. The second shows a view of the ancient and modern town bridges between Huntingdon and Godmanchester — the medieval bridge dates from 1332; and the modern bridge, which carries the busy A14 trunk road, dates from 1975.
