This is a picture of one of the Aquilegia flowers we have growing in the garden. They don’t last for very long, unfortunately, and we only have a couple of them growing, even though I keep trying to encourage them to seed themselves.

that is certainly a beautiful flower. Is it easily found or is it a flower only found in certain parts of the country ? I bought a passion vine this week and I found the story of it on your website. I really appreciate your site.

I don’t really know how widespread the Aquilegia is. They don’t flower for very long, just two or three weeks in our garden. I gather there are some 60 or so different species: we did have some very pretty purple ones once, but they only flowered for the one year.
