God of this City

Michael left a very helpful comment on the blog yesterday, on my post “Anoint us with your Holy Spirit“. He talked about taking his twelve year-old son to see Chris Tomlin in concert, and how much his son enjoyed it and “really felt the love of God”. He also left a link to a YouTube video with Chris Tomlin singing “God of this City”. I thought I would post the video here, so it would be seen by more people. It’s well worth watching.

    Wonderful video and worship song! I am so in tune with the 12 year old boy, why can’t we feel the love of God in Church every Sunday? Well that would make for a good study group topic. Some Sunday’s I do feel His love but I want more. I need His love in me. Only He can give me the strength that sustains me and I need to feel that in my heart. I know it is not pure joy all the time, we must find Him in the low and mundane areas of our lives but I treasure the moments of His love filling my heart, my life. My prayer is that all of us will at some stage in our walk with God, shall know and be filled with His love in such a real and powerful way that will shall be left with a hunger for more. More Lord, we want more of YOU!
