Something really strange seems to be happening to my musical tastes. I’m a man who grew up liking rock music, the weirder and more progressive, the better — as well as a goodly smattering of jazz from when I played the trumpet as a young’un. But the video below is nothing like that, and yet I think it’s incredible.
Here is Camilla Kerslake singing, “She Moves Through The Fair”. She is the first, and currently only, signing to Gary Barlow’s fledgling record label, “Future Records” — Gary Barlow of Take That. Hope you enjoy the video, and the beautiful singing.

Andrew Gosden (now 18) has been missing from his Doncaster home since 14 September 2007. The search continues.
Lovely!
It will be good to see someone with a classically trained voice break into mainstream music. Kathrine Jenkins has a new album out that has some less obviously classical tracks on, but her voice is much more obviously classical than Camilla Kerslake. Or, at least, that’s the impression I get, as someone who’s more than a little hopeless when it comes to classical music.
