If it wasn’t true, what’s happened to me over the last few days would be almost laughable. It started as a simple cold, same as lots of people get all the time. But it left me with a chest infection. And then, I can’t remember now if it was Saturday or Sunday, I was coughing rather a lot and hurt my lower back. Things are improving a little, but I’ve barely been able to move since without sending intense spasms of pain through my back, and sitting up for more than a couple of minutes has been virtually impossible.

I will get caught up with things eventually. But if you’ve tried to contact me recently, or left a comment on here that hasn’t appeared (it’ll be caught up in the moderation queue), or waiting for my normal posts to appear on the blog, please accept my apologies — I’m just not able to physically deal with anything at the moment — one of the disadvantages of a desk-top computer, but couldn’t concentrate even with a portable.

This isn’t the first time I’ve hurt my back, and don’t suppose it will be the last. Things will get back to normal eventually. I hope I’ll be able to attend to things properly around here sometime next week. Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible. In the mean time, please accept my apologies.
